Challenge

700 opened in the summer of 2011 with one goal in mind; helping all riders from all aspects of the sport, be it professional road racing, triathlon or sportive riding furnish their passion with all the advice and equipment they may need. 700 offer both bike fitting and cleat analysis services to help you optimise your position on the bike in order to minimise the risk of injury and to get the best performance and comfort from your riding.

700 came to Citrus-Lime as a start-up business looking for a cycle specific EPOS and ecommerce provider. With a small team they needed the most efficient method of setting up the retail systems, inputting products and carrying out stock take. New business start-ups can be challenging with unexpected issues to deal with and often a steep learning curve, therefore 700 needed a provider they could trust and rely on.

700 sell an array of road bikes from entry level to bespoke, high end offerings, for this reason they required an in store and online solution that encourages the sale of such items. 700 are also specialists within servicing and have a reputation of strong customer service. For this reason 700 required a solution that supports the bike servicing side of the business and enables them to offer a personalised service.

Solution

To enable 700 to set up their store and ecommerce site with ease they imported products using Citrus-Lime's Supplier Integration Module (SIM), a direct link to suppliers for downloading product information, images, cost price, category and more. This is a huge time saver!

We like to think we've formed a great relationship with the guys at 700. Having Lizzie as the assigned account manager enables us to have a coherent contact with Dave and the team at 700. She provides customer care and oversees any training, support or maintenance required by our team.

700's website is an important tool to extend the great customer service they offer in store. Understanding how their customers like to shop with detailed product descriptions, sizing information, buyer's guide and great use of images, their customers are able to research what bike and equipment they may like before they come into the store to make the final choice or have a fitting.

To fulfill their customer's expectations online they offer multiple payment and delivery options including PayPal, finance options, an easy to use checkout process and Click & Collect are some of the features available. Offering finance purchases is of significant use to 700, high end bikes costing in the thousands is a lot of money and without this option the sale may not be considered.

Results

700 are a prime example of how we provide a specialised service to cycle retailers. We believe that we've helped to provide the best base for a start-up cycle retailer. Our Fresh Retail Solutions have supported 700, enabling them to create the business they set out to create. An efficient and stress free set up concluding with well managed operations, fulfilling their strong customer service.

In store bike servicing is managed by the Workshop Module. This enables 700 control over the management of the workshop. Designed specifically for a workshop such as 700's it offers organisation and the ability to provide a personalised service by sending service updates and ready for collection texts and emails.
